• BEST ROAD TRIP // A quick 3 hour drive up to Vancouver BC. A place CJ and I went our first week of dating for a day trip and back. Ah, memories.

• BEST CITY FOR WALKING // New York or Chicago…probably New York. I mean, duh.

• BEST VACAY SPOT // Tulum, always. Slow beachy days and Sexy late night dinners. Jungle + good food and perfect little shops. Our always fav spot.

• BEST CITY TO EAT // Anywhere in Spain. Tapas, wine at every meal, so many oranges. Nothing better. (Besides Italy or possibly New York)

• BEST PLACE TO CHILL: The Philippines. Clear water, islands on islands and the softest sand you’ve ever felt.

• BEST SPOT FOR WINTER: We make the Bevarian town of Leavenworth our New Years Eve tradition. Snow, warm drinks and sledding.

• BEST CITY TO SHOOT: Seattle! My hometown and city with endless shitty walls and interesting architecture. Second Place: Palm Springs + NYC

• BEST PLACE FOR EXPLORING // Thailand, on the Islands. Hop on a vespa and go where you want, stop when you see a good shop or need a meal.

What’s It All About?

Getting into my thirties now, I feel like it’s a time to be more honest. Honest about what you want. In your relationships, in your business, with your friends and your life. I’ve always been one to say what I want but I feel like in the past few years I’ve dove into this in a stronger way. If you knew me, you know I dont tell a lie well, I cant fake liking a present and I choose to surround myself with people on the basis that less is more. In the same way, I’m only going after work that truly inspires me and makes me feeling fucking alive. I simply do not take on work that I dont feel a pull towards. That way, I’m real, I’m genuine and I cant wait to create with you. It’s like going going on a date with someone you’re genuinely into…sure you might get a meal out of the other dates but it’s just not worth it.

You might think its a pretty risky thing to say exactly what you want to do and shoot only what you like - wouldn’t that alienate an entire group of people? Well, I aint trying to be for everyone. I feel my most inspired photographing people in a way where we feel like we made something. Looking for interesting light, allowing me to try something weird, giving me more time and focusing more on the experience than just the end result. I aim to create work that means something, that makes you want to stop and pour over it. My work has a balance of beautiful still art mixed with movement and real emotion. I direct a lot, I have more poses than you’ll know what to do with and I feel like my greatest strength is putting people at ease (yes, even the most photo adverse groom out there.) I use humor a lot and I wont give you the opportunity to feel awkward or wonder what to do. I’ve been in this game for a long time and I got it down boo.

I want you to know I genuinely care about what I do. I’m incredibly nostalgic and way too emotional about the mementos we hold onto in order to bring back memories - photos being one of them (I’ve got boxes and boxes of polaroids to prove it.) I know you have eons of options in booking a photographer and that if you’re choosing me, I’m also choosing you. I only book the amount of work that will allow me to give the experience I want and the experience you deserve. I dont want you to feel like a number - I want you to come away feelin’ high as a kite, feelin’ real good about yourself.
