this aint hearts over tummies boo, its art.

If maternity photos make you think about hands in the shape of a heart over your belly button or cheesy photos and bad angles, and you’re like eww no. Girl, me too. Maternity photos were never really my jam, and then I became pregnant and went thru my own experience and came to understand this insane, beautiful, ever-changing journey to becoming a mother and I saw it with a different lens. Instead of focusing on couples frolicking in a field and hands on that baby bump, I honed into my connection and draw to women, to making them feel powerful and beautiful. To making art and doing things my way. It was then, I created my own little corner that felt like me, that was authentic and genuine and it felt real real good.

I shoot it with good light, warm colors and beautiful tones. Shooting nudes that dont feel naked and focusing on your body and the best angles. Celebrating your journey and growth. Getting experimental and making art together.

I generally recommend scheduling your session for 30-34 weeks - reach out early if you’re interested and got a bun in the oven.

Q+A

When is the best time to schedule a shoot? I generally recommend scheduling your session for around 30-34 weeks - reach out if you’re interested and got a bun in the oven. I book out pretty far in advance, do not reach out only when you’re ready. Reach out early on in your pregnancy or as soon as you now you want to do a shoot.

Do you only shoot women or can partners join as well? With the style and vibe that I shoot, typically that’s just for women. If it’s very important to you that your partner is also in the photos, I usually have them come at the end of the shoot and shoot some of you two together If you’re hoping for this artistic vibe for you both and something unique and together, let’s chat.

Are all your shoots the same feel and look? It’s important to me that we talk about any ideas or vibes you have in mind, I’m happy to collab with you or come up with ideas on my own. With most of my work, you see a cohesive feel, color and depth that I bring into each shoot. If you have an idea or wanna get experimental, lets do it.

Where do you shoot your With Child Sessions? I shoot at a few beautiful studios in Seattle - one with more bright white light and the other with a bright option as well as a deep darker moody feel. Lots of backdrop colors and lighting options - I shoot with 100% natural light, good angles and a little bit of body oil. I bring lots of materials, gadgets and such to shoot with - you bring the outifts.
